My skin care

Skin care has always been incredibly important to me, although my love is for make-up and fashion, it is essential to look after your skin as this is your canvas for all of those beautiful make-up products you are going to apply. I honestly believe if you look after your skin your make-up will always look beautiful and will last longer as well. Although some foundations and make-up products you can buy now a days are said to not contain anything harmful for your skin, and contain skin loving ingredients, any make-up while wearing will clog your pores and does not allow your skin to breath. This is why it is important to look after your skin while you are not wearing foundation and here are just a small amount of some of my favourite products to do so.

The body shop (a lot of my skin care is from this shop) vitamin E overnight serum-in-oil 8 hours is something I apply once a week to my face before I go to sleep, usually after a lovely pamper session and it is so rejuvenating for the skin. I always wake up with my skin looking healthy and it has a slight glow. It is in a pretty little pink bottle which is handy for travel or if you don't have much space left in your bathroom like me. I think a nice skin caring serum is incredibly important when maintaining healthy skin, as this is more moisturising and caring than a daily moisturiser, and sometimes daily grim and taking off makeup can really damage skin no matter what product you use. A natural serum like this one is amazing if you are rubbing at your skin to take make-up off everyday. I love the application in the fact that it has a pipette so you can use the smallest of droplets so the serum (although in a small bottle) actually lasts a very long time. I bought mine last year and I still have not even used half of it even though I apply it weekly. Although I love this product and it works wonders for my skin, I would not recommend to someone with oily skin as this serum has a very oily base and might just make your problem worse (sorry) however if you have dry skin this would be perfect for you. (Yey)

My next product is something that is highly rated and been raved about by many other bloggers and you-tubers for some time now. I only recently joined the hype as it only recently came to my local super drug store because sadly I live in a small town. It is the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser. This product I automatically loved the moment I first used it in the shower, my skin was so clean when I got out. The product comes with a cleansing cloth which you soak in warm water and gently scrub the product of your face, after you have worked it into dry skin. The product claims to be able to take of makeup but I only ever used it once I have used a makeup removed, as I want the active ingredients to go onto my naked skin, as I feel that it will be more beneficial that way (I'm probably insane). However I always find makeup on the cloth, although I have already used a makeup remover before hand, so it shows how cleaning this product really is. It has a pump to apply as much of the product as you want to your finger tips and then you can go ahead and work in circular motions to dry skin. This product is definitely something I will continue to re-purchase when I run out, and I am definitely going to try other products from this beautiful brand as my skin loves it and so do I and hopefully if you are considering purchasing you will too :).

This product is actually a mask I saw when scrolling through Instagram and saw an advertisement by another blogger. (wish I could remember who). It is the Muddy Buddy detox clay mask with activate charcoal and coconut. I was drawn in as all the comments underneath were claiming this product has worked wonders for them and it was their favourite mask. I went to their Instagram account (MuddyBuddy) where their online store is linked in the bio. check out their account and you will see why I bought one straight away. I and saw hundreds of photos of people all across different countries sending photos of themselves wearing this mask, and saying tremendously positive things, and how it had improved their skin. I have used this mask myself and I would also say when I have had a break out on my chin this mask has definitely calmed it down and helped it fade away. The concept of this mask is quite cool as it is actually in the form of a powder, and I usually pour a small amount of it into a small bowl, add a few drops of water and stir with an application brush- I just bought a cheap one from a store but I know you can buy official Muddy Buddy ones online. The mask has a mousse like texture and is very soothing when you apply it to your skin, it dry's within 10-15 minuets just as most other masks and you wipe away with a damp cloth.

The body shop again is being featured with their Tea Tree skin clearing toner. I have been using this product for about 5 months now by simply just applying it to a cotton pad and sweeping over bare skin. I have definitely noticed a reduction in my occasional break outs which annoyingly only ever occur on my chin. The tea tree is antibacterial and actually has spot fighting ingredients which is a bonus as it is a toner as well!. I'm not going to say this product has stopped all my spots and I never have them anymore but I can go a while with out an annoying pimple and I believe this product has an involvement in that. I actually have the facial wash version and use it to clean my make-up brushes as the antibacterial elements really cleans brushes and will make sure they don't have bacteria in them from the last time you used the brush to cover up an annoying spot.

The final product I use is from the brand Clinique and it is their moisture surge intense moisturiser. I use simple kind to skin moisturiser as well but sometimes I think a thick creamy intense moisturiser is what a girl really needs to boost the appearance and health of your skin. I use this moisturiser if I know I'm going out for the night and will be wearing more make-up than usual. This moisturiser is perfect for those with dry skin, even though my skin is not dry I love this product!.
